The first prototype of MammoWave, our X-rays free mammogram based on microwave, is constructed and patented (inventors: Gianluigi Tiberi and Giovanni Raspa).
Test in phantoms in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Geology of the University of Perugia, Italy.
The co-inventors, together with some colleagues including Navid Ghavami and Lorenzo Sani, found UBT Srl (Umbria Bioengineering Technologies) as an innovative biomedical Startup company. UBT increases the size of the company’s equity capital due to the entrance of new shareholders, i.e. colleagues having expertise in financial, marketing, administration. UBT becomes an academic Spin Off of the Department of Physics and Geology of the University of Perugia, Italy.

DIGITEC SRL is a leader in designing hardware and software systems capable of acquiring, processing and transferring medical data; thus, it represents for UBT a strategic partner.
